Story[]

Prologue[]

There have always been two races in the world. Man and monster, both enjoying a separate peace. And in time, the societies of man began to flourish... Centuries have passed. A shadow now looms over the land. The monsters have risen up against man. It is a time of great fear and suffering. And so begins our tale...

Gameplay[]

Code of Princess plays like a brawler, such as Double Dragon, but also has RPG elements such as leveling up.

Basic Controls[]

Basic Controls

Plane System[]

For each stage, there are three planes of movement. Player characters only fight with enemies that are on their own stage. Moving between planes can be done by holding Guard and pressing Up or Down on the Control pad. Keep moving between planes to have an advantage.

Locking On[]

A Lock-On Attack will put a target on an enemy. By locking on, normal attacks will do twice the amount of damage. Ranged and projectile attacks will home onto targets even across multiple planes.

Burst[]

By pressing the X Button, you will enter a state that will drain MP over time. Enemies within this range of Burst will be briefly stunned. Attacks deal double damage while in Burst mode (stacks with Lock-On). Some items can enhance Burst Mode with other effects, such as increased duration, Super Armor, or HP regeneration.

Co-Op[]

This game allows you to play with up to three other players.

Versus[]

You can challenge up to 4 players, and there are up to 52 playable characters. In Local Play, you can play in Free Play mode using characters of pre-determined level. In Internet Play, in addition to Free Play mode, Ranked Play can also be played for Princess Points.
